On The Road Again

:: 2016 ::

Just can’t wait to get on the road again
The life I love is making music retreats with my friends

And I can’t wait to get on the road again
On the road again

Goin’ places that I’ve never been
Seein’ things that I may never see again

And I can’t wait to get on the road again

On the road again
Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway

We’re the best of friends
Insisting that the world keep turning our way

And our way
Is on the road again

Gobi Desert: No roads, you just Go

Oh, Willie, you sure do know my heart…

I love to travel.

Exploring the new.
Revisiting the old.
Testing the comfort zones.

Sometime during my 3 years hitchhiking the States in my early 20’s, I recall my mom saying to me:

Wherever you go, there you are.

At the time I took it personally (early 20’s, remember?), thinking she was accusing me of running away from it all.

And maybe I was.

But now, traveling for me is running into it all.

Because,

Wherever you go, there you are.

On the road,

I have to (get to) deal with my Self.
I have to (get to) pull up my boot straps.
I have to (get to) identify my boundaries.

And on the road is where I am Home.
